Delaware Purse Increase To Be Paid in War Bonds STANTON, Del., June 5.— General manager Bryan Field of the Delaware Steeplechase and Race Association announced today that effective Wednesda. . June 6, purses in all overnight races will be increased 50 per cent, the increase to be paid in War Bonds. The Bonds will be figured at their purchase price, and not their maturity value. The increase during 1944 went into effect on the eleventh day of the meeting, whereas this years increase was three days earlier. This makes Delaware Parks purse distribution slightly over 00,000 for the 30-day meeting.
