He finished with great force, Hunter Raino ran to his best form and finished with determination. South Trimble appeared to have an excellent chance a furlong out, but tired fast when the crucial struggle came up in the last sixteenth. Jack Rattlin showed much speed for seven furlongs and then fell away badly beaten. The others were never serious contenders.
