LOOAL TURK GOSSIP. C. T. Boots, the well known owner, left yesterday for a visit to his ranch, situated near San Francisco, Cal. Ho stated before his departure that his horse Argregor would not be started again until September, when he would fill some stake engagements on the local tracks. Jockey Hicks, who had the mount on Adios was struck in the eye by a flying stone and by the advice of the doctor who examined and treated the injury, cancelled the remainder of his engagements for the day. Lampoon, which won the fifth race, was bid up 00 over his entered price of 00 by P. J. Gorman. The horse was retained by his owner with the usual advance bid of .
