NOTES OF THE XUKF. The projected mooting at Los Angeles has been called off. The city council passed an ordinanco which was signed by the mayor prohibiting batting in any form. This measure was the immediate cause of tho action taken by Mr. Brooks and his associates in abandoning tho proposed meeting. All horsemon have been notified not to ship their stables. Henry Simons and Dr. B. Talbot engaged in a fight at the Now Orleans track Tuesday after the races wore over. As a consequence the stewards passed an order yesterday suspending both and denying them all privileges of tho track until further notice. W. C. H Chicago. It was El Piloto and not El Pilar that was entered and ran in the first race at Oakland Monday. By an error in telegraphing entries El Pilar was sent. All bets on the latter aro void. R. and S., Monroe, La. The three horses you namo did not meot in a race at Latonia.
