BIRKENRUTHS SUCCESS ABROAD. Harry Birkenruth, the American rider in Austria-Hungary, has to his credit this season the Grand Prize, the richest racing event run In Germany. The race, which was run at Hamburg, was won by Faith, ridden by the American boy. Birkenruth was developed by Sam Hlldreth and Louis Ezell at the tracks in the middle west and in California. He led tlie riders at San Francisco for two seasons before going abroad, where he has had the greatest success and made a name for himself; especially as a judge of pace lie is much admired.
