Start had. AVon driving; second and third the same. Alsatian, away fast, forced the early pace and, soon taking the lead, stood the final drive well and out-staved Floridaglcn. The latter was outpaced in the early running, but came with a rush after saving ground when turning Into the stretch and would have won at a longer distance. Sweetener, although going wide, raced in a contending position in the first half, but tired in the stretch. Edlna showed Mipcrior speed for the first three furlongs,-but tired in the last quarter. McGregor linished close up. Needmore failed to show much speed. Bobbin Around will improve. Benrose can do better. The winner was entered for 1907.sh0; no bid. Gold Circle, away well and running well In the going, was prominent throughout, responded well to pun- t ishraent in the final drive and got up in the last stride to score a lucky victory. Glen Roy, much the best, was practically left at the post and showed sensational speed In taking a long lead, appeared a certain winner, but under a bad ride tired in the closing strides. Broken Melody gained steadily and finished with a rush. Dario tired in the stretch run and had no mishaps. Elaine ran fairly well and was favored hy good racing luck. Diebold made up ground. Ed Kane had a rough trip in the early stages and was a long time in getting fully settled into his stride, but finished fast and gamely and outstayed Georgia Girl for second place. Georgia Girl tired after being a prominent factor for a half. Hans showed speed and had no mishaps, but probably disliked the going. Bucket Brigade ran fairly well and closed a gap. Heart of Hyacinth came witli a belated rush through the stretch and but for going wide would probably have been second. Alegra ran a good race. Lucy Young, away fast and well ridden, saved much ground all the way and, in a game finish, just lasted long enough. Donna, taken wide all the way, was going fast at the end and would have won- in another stride. Lute Foster showed much speed and stayed well in the final drive. Rickey was jirobably best, but suffered from interference in the first half, finished with a rush when clear and would have won at a longer distance. Delphie ran fairly well. Arch Oldham showed speed and might have been a sharp factor but for being carried wide when Constantia ran out. Firebrand ran well to the stretch, but tired. Constantia showed high early speed but ran out to the extreme outside rail after going three furlongs. Scratched 71GS5E. T. Dainty Belle, favored by the going and a good ride, took the lead at once and, setting the pace under restraint, came on when called on and held Rio Grande safe in the closing drive. Rio Grande showed sudden improvement, moved up steadily after going a quarter and finished well but, under poor riding, was unable to get up. Docile was a close contender most of the way and put up a good performance, lootliglits Favorite ran forwardly all the way, but tired in the stretch. Miltiades quit after going a half. Amberjack ran fairly well. Oberon disliked the going. Matabon can do much better. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Scratched 721332Flavigny, 107; 72151 Athena, 101.
