i CASSIDY HAS PRAISE FOR JOCKEY MURPHY. Jockey J. W. Murphy, the colored rider, is sure to make his mark in the saddle this summer, in the opinion of starter Mars Cassidy. He says: "Murphy rides more like Miller than any boy 1 have ever seen. He is alert at the post audi always has a loose hold of the lines, which permits a horse to leave the post on his stride. The trouble with most of the other lightweights is that they keep a restraining bold of the horses head and this prevents the latter from dashing away from the barrier with its natural freedom."
