Hildreths Fitz Herbert and Dalmatian relatives in blood, resetnbie each other cfiisely In color, conformation and markings, they do not run ailke. Fitz Herliert takes alter his sire in that he has a brilliant turn of early speed. He was always a quick breaker, and. although he likes to run in front, the smallest boy can place him without effort. Dalmatian is sluggish and clumsy. He likes to drop back immediately after tin- star! and come on iu tbe homestretch, as he did in the Ltnpire City Handicap Saturday, When he is ridden to the front as Shilling rode him iu the Tidal Stakes with Prince Imperial, he is apt to quit.
