GREAT FILLY WILL NOT BE RUN. Saratoga. N. Y.. August 5. — Andrew Miller, secretary-treasurer of the Saratoga Association, in continuing the repart that the Futurity would be run here, probable on August 29. stated that the Great Filly, a 110.006 race for two-year-old fillies, will be declared off and that the money paid into the Ireas-i ry of the Coney Island Jockey Club in the way of nomination fees and forfeits will be returned to the contributors. It was supposed that the Great Filly, like the Futurity, would be run at Saratoga. The decision of the directors of the New York tracks to run the Futurity here is pleasing to the people of Saratoga, although not so gratifying as an agreement to give Saratoga the Coney Island Jockey Cluh"s forfeited dates would have been. Such an arrangement would have enabled Kichird T. Wilson. Jr.. to continue the Saratoga meeting to September 10 without violating the law restricting racists to forty days on any race track.
