HOCNIR ran in nearest pursuit throughout, stood punishment well iu the stretch and was gaining slowly at the end. MANSON was iu close quarters through the last quarter and held on well. SAMUEL began fast and. beiug hard ridden for the entire way, drew out in the last eighth and won in a canter. LADY MOONET stood a hard drive resolutely in the strelch after losing ground on the turn and got up in the last stride for second place. CANDY BOX was in a bad jam during the first three furlongs, but saved much ground when turning into the stretch, then tired near the end. BOB HENSLEY tired. JOHN GUND showed much speed and ran into the lead in the stretch, but tired in the last eighth. BAC suffered from interference and weak riding. The others were outpaced. SEBAGO was kept well up in the earlv running, but lost ground when turning into the stretch, then finished fast and gamely. PRESUMnTLON tired fast after showing the most early speed and setting a fast pace to the stretch. FLORAL PARK had no mishaps and can do much better. THE WIDOW MOON was badly outpaced.
