NOTES OF THE TURF. Tlie seven-car horse special for Charleston left Lexington Tuesday as per schedule. On tlie same day 1. T. .Morris shipped four of J. H. Woodfords yearlings to join W. H. Fizers stable at Juarez. Former President Theodore Roosevelt witnessed the race for the Carlos Pellegrini Stakes at Buenos Ayres on Sundar last. First place was won by Lnergica. by Cyllene Particula; second. Charming; third, I.Icano. Nine horses ran. The distance was 3.000 meters about one and seven-eighths miles nnd the time 3:0;. A dispatch from Hamilton. Out., savs that the holde-s of the Hamilton Driving and Athletic Associations charier have made arrangements to open a mile track near Burlington, that tbev will applr to the Canadian Racing Associations for dates, anil that they propose to use the pari-niutuel machines. I hey also propose to hold trottiug meetings.
