BASTANTE followed the leaders close up from the start and, standing the final drive resolutely, caught PULSATION in the final seventy yards and outstayed him in a close finish. PULSATION showed high speed in pacemaking, but. tired badly after going five-eighths. STELLATA closed a gap and came fast in the last quarter. TOMBOY tired unexpectedly in the final drive.
