FOALS AT CANADIAN FARMS. The growth of Canadian breeding will probably be stimulated in the near future by the announcement of a 0,000 Kings Plate, and when that day conns Thoracllffe Farm will he well equipped for the fray. The ten foals have already arrived this season will make a grand foundation for a powerful factor iu the decision of home bred events iu coining years, and Mr. Davits seems determined to accomplish the doable triumph of having the leading stable of Canadian hnds as he now has the strongest combination of foreign -breds carrying the colors of a Canadian owner. Sula oit is a brother t. Hamilton. lay Doras is the only other colt of the ten. and the six by Detective all greatly resemble their sire. If he has transmitted also his high speed and courage they will be a bun.h of champions. Five ether mares at Thoraciiff are still due to . foal, so that the Canadian bred division of the table will be a nasneroaa as well as most inter est lag lot. The crop ot Canadian bred youngsters promises to . be worthy of the increased opportunities that are to Ik. afforded each vear for the owners of home bred stock. Reports from the Valley Farm tell of I gratifying showing in number ami qualily among the increases in the thoroughbred department. Mar-tinias.
