NEW TRACK RECORD AT HAVANA. Five and a Half Furlongs Time Reduced to 1:00*4 —Big Mutuel Place Pay Off. Havana. Cuba, January 2-1. — Another track record at Oriental Dark was reduced when J. P.. Harrell von the fourth race this afternoon. He ran the five and a half furlong- in 106*4, was ridden by Waknff. made all his own pan- and beat out among others, Caddie Up, Ownna and Silver Dill. This was J. D. HnrreUs third start at the meeting and his third straight victory. W. C. Dallas Ampere II.. which finished se, ond to Malabar in the second race, paid his backers 36.80 to place in the mutuels. Unity scored his first victory of the meeting when he got up in the final stride to bent Ed .irri-oa a BOSS in the third race, itaii red ■ aa rapt riallj strong finish on the winner.
