HURDLE RACING FOR THE METROPOLIS. United Hunts Trying to Revive the Sport — Hop -Over Plate to Be a Test. Hurdle racing, once popular on the metropolitan circuit, is to be revived shortly, the United Hunts Rat lag Association having framed conditions for the Hop-Over Plate, which wiil be at two miles. Owners ■ f Jumpers of considerable prominence have asked for this race and have promised to enter and start in numbers to make a satisfactory contest. Tin- other associations consulted will await the result of this race before announcing others of tin-same sort. They want to provide what is needed and will be interesting for their members and patrons, but want to be sure that this class of sport can be revived in a way that will keep it up to a satisfactory standard.
