SCYLLA showed the most speed from the start and was under restraint most of the way. LADY SPENDTHRIFT saved ground on the "stretch turn and made a game finish. DUCHESS OF LIZWILL finished with a rush. SAL VANITY began slowly and was. forced to come wide on the stretch turn but ran a bad race. BROBECK closed a gap and finished fast and gaining. BLANCHITA raced next to the rail all the way and, after setting the early pace, came again at the end and oufgamed SCHEMER in the final drive. The latter raced into the lead on the last turn, but tired. SCORPII worked his way up on the outside from a slow beginning and finished fast in the middle of the track. LENSHENS PRIDE ran well. NEVILLE II. ran a good race throughout. MONEY MAKER was pulled up at the start and closed a big gap. SWEET MARGUERITE was in a jam on the turn out of the backstreteh. SPARKLER showed speed.
