Won driving; second and third the same. HYPER150LE set a fast pace from the start, but tired in the last eighth mid just lasted long enough to win. MAGGIE MURPHY raced in nearest pursuit of the winner when straightened away in the stretch and was gaining rapidly in the closing strides. KIKTLE, shuttled back in the early running and forced to come wide into the stretch, closed a big gap in the last quarter. BIRCH PARK and PANCAKE had no mishaps. SENNINGS PARK followed PEN ROSE closely during the early running, but had to be hard ridden through the stretch and only wore the leader down in the last thirty yards. VALOR set a fast pace under steady restraint, but tired when called on for a final effort. ROMANY finished resolutely and passed NEDDAM in the last eighth. The latter tired in the stretch drive. OCEAN SWELL, well ridden, was under restraint until straightened away in the stretch, but took the lead on the last turn and held on gamely in the final drive. ANNIVERSARY steadily improved his position and was wearing the leader down at the finish. OLD DAD rushed into the lead and saved ground on all the turns, but tired in the stretch. Won driving; second and third the same. SURF RIDER, away well, displayed excellent speed and, under a vigorous hand ride, outstayed OCEANIC in the final drive. OCEANIC set a fast pace early, but ran a bit green and tired near the end. SEDGE began slowly and was forced wide when entering the stretch, but finished gamely and outstayed FIRM FRIEND. The latter showed a good order of speed, but raced out in the stretch. SNOB II., TWENTY SEVENTH DIVISION and YANKEE STAR raced well.
