j j j : j FAMOUS IRISH RIDING GROUP The Irish Beasleys are a famous riding family. There are three veterans in it. Thomas Beasley is best known. He has ridden in twelve Orand Nationals, of which he won three and was second twice. Tom Beasleys last success was on Frigate, when George Silke, who was working the commission for the stable, wired to his patrons in London : " Man, mare, money — all right !" Tpm also won the Irish Derby three times, and the big Paris Steeplechase on Too Good. Harry Beasley rode in fourteen Grand Na- tionals, but only won one, on Come Away in 1S91, with three seconds.
