_ , « j NEW ENGLISH COURSE LONDON, England, March 27.— Uapid progress is being made with the construction of Chepstow race course in Picrcefield Park, about a mile from the historic town on the AVye. The feature of the course will be the straight mile, and to enable spectators to have a clear view of the races huge trees are being uprooted. In addition, there will be a circular course of two miles. Racing will commence at this track on August G and 7, and the Prince of Wales has provisionally consented to perform the opening ceremony. In anticipation of the visit of the Prince, a handsome oil painting of the course is in preparation.
