" BOWIE TURF NOTES ? . Frank Hackett is considering starting Watch Him in the Decoration Day Handicap for Mrs. J. Hertz of Chicago. John P. Turner, who is acting clerk of the scales and placing judge at Bowie, departs immediately after the last race on Saturday for Toronto. Turner will serve as racing secretary in the Dominion for the seven-day meeting at Thorncliffe Park. During the month of June he will be engaged at Hamilton, Ont. Jack B. Campbell, who is serving as steward at Woodbine Park at Toronto, Canada, notified J. P. Turner that he would leave on Saturday evening and will be on hand at Bowie on Monday to fill the latters place as clerk of the scales and placing judge.
