GRANT AURORA FALL DATES Fourteen Days Racing From Oct. 16 to Oct. 31 Approved by Illinois Turf Association. . The Exposition Park Jockey Clubs fall dates for a fourteen-day meeting, beginning October 16 and closing October 31 were approved by the Illinois Turf Association at a meeting held in Chicago Thursday. This will be the final meeting of the Illinois Turf Association tracks and will follow the second meeting at Washington Park, which closes October 14. Robert S. Eddy, Jr., and Joseph Cattar-inich, who took oyer the Aurora track for the spring meeting, came from Cleveland to attend Thursdays meeting and afterwards declared themselves pleased with the endorsement of their dates and plans by the governing association. "We will carry out the fall program just as we planned when we first became identified with the Aurora track," said Mr. Eddy. Eddy and Cattarinich represented Fair-mount Park at the meeting and Aurora was officially represented by Messrs. Carruthers and Hirsch. All other Illinois tracks except Arlington Park sent representatives. Col. M. J. Winn and Stuyvesant Pcabody were there for Lincoln Fields; C. W. Hay and R. M. Sweitzer for Washington Park, and Hawthorne was represented by J. C. Schank and C. W. Bidwill. In addition to the ratification of Aurora dates, the association received and took under advisement several reports and recommendations which will not be acted upon until the next meeting when Arlington Park will be represented. One of these was for a reduction in jockey fees and another was the request of the Illinois Breeders Association that it be permitted to certify as to bona fide residents of Illinois when races are offered exclusively for horses owned by Illinois owners.
