SECRET TRYST, close up from the start and under strong restraint for three-eighths, sprinted into decisive command quickly and tired, yet withstood BUSY SPAIN without need of strong pressure. The latter, forced to lose ground early, saved some on the stretch turn and closed boldly. BUSY JAY, slow to get going and taken to the outside after three-eighths, closed well and outlasted KING FARO. The latter met light interference in the stretch and held on gamely. PORTMANTEAU came through on the inside on the stretch turn, gradually drew away and won easily. VERY WELL bore out on the stretch turn and, while no match for the winner, held on well. LA SALLE, away slowly and far back for half a mile, came through on the inside when closing fast. RUSTY, a factor from the start, was forced wide entering the stretch and tired under strong riding. GETTIN EVEN lost ground from a slow start. CAIUS saved ground most of the way. OLIVE SABATH quit. BAGGAGE MISS, under restraint for five-eighths and forced wide and impeded by ANNAN, tired near the end. SCIMITAR, on the outside for the last half mile, closed boldly. DORITA began slowly. TRANSFORMATION had no mishaps. PRINCE FARTHING and YUCATAN quit in the drive. CRASH showed earlv speed. KIEVETTE met interference soon after the start. GLYNSON also lost much ground on the stretch turn and tired after taking the lead in. the final eighth. COMMUTER bore out badly on the stretch turn and tired. NAVANOD had no mishaps. DR. The latter, close up after five-eighths, went to the outside on the stretch turn and moved up with a rush, but was not good enough. SCARLET BRIGADE took the lead entering the back stretch, but tired. HAPPY LAD began slowly and raced very wide for five-eighths. SPANFLOW had no mishaps. MAD CAREER began fast, but sulked and was far back after a quarter.
