He has been an ardent lover of horse racing ! for many years and several years ago ! established the Three Ds Stock Farm and racing stable. The farm, situated at Arlington, Texas, is one of the most finely appointed, complete and fashionably stocked in the country. Three years ago Mr. Waggoner had constructed, at a cost.of ,000,000, the Arlington Downs race course, which adjoins the Three Ds farm. His stable, trained by R. N, Vestal, arrived at Lincoln Fields from Churchill Downs several days ago. It includes a number of home-breds and costly acquisitions purchased in this country and abroad. Strideaway, bred at the Waggoner farm, carried the Three Ds colors in the recent Kentucky Derby. Another division of the stable is at Riverside Park. A son, Paul Waggoner, was informed of his fathers condition at Oklahoma City. He was on his way to New York to attend the wedding of his daughter, Electra, June 4.
