HI Be Hairbow Check Jn at AkSarBen Track TrackAmong Among Six Members of Stable Of Carey Evans of Colorado ColoradoOMAHA OMAHA Nebr May 9 Two popular handicap runners have joined the thor ¬ oughbred population at the AkSarBen track for the Omaha civic organizations 1952 race meet which gets under way Tues ¬ day May 20 and extends through July 5 5The The two familiar to AkSarBen race fans are Ill Be and Hairbow and both turned in some fancy performances here last year Bud C Rapp who trains for the Carey Evans stable of Loveland Colo has the two speedsters quartered at Ak SarBen grounds along with six others in the Colorado string Ill Be an eightyear old had his best season last year with seven wins and currently holds the five furlong track record of 58 at AkSar Ben His sixyearold stablemate Hairbow who never quite got to the winners circle here last year was always a strong con ¬ tender arid gathered five wins during the year including two features at Denvers Centennial track trackBus Bus Petsch the Henry Nebr rancher horseman now has 10 head in training for the May 20 opening Petsch who trains his own string is pinning his hopes on Lasting War a fouryearold filly who has been running in 10000 claiming races and was a fourtime winner last year Petsch also has five others in his care careOne One of the most recent arrivals from Dixieland is the sixhead E M OBrien string from the Walworth Plantation in Eutawville S C Trainer G V Weaver is spending considerable time with three of his top runners They are Outbird and Mystic Song a couple of fiveyearolds which won two each last year and Little Bad a winner of one last year
