final stages and closed gamely in an impressive effort DO MAGE saved ground and sprinted into a commanding lead on the turn continued well into the stretch but faltered suddenly near the end STINGYMAID was forced wide rallying from behind in the stretch CARLTON MISS gave an even effort SILVER SPOT was outrun and raced between horses most the distance POMALEE was green and sulked under
