WASHINGTONS STAKE ENTRIES. When the stakes for the Washington Jockey Clubs meeting wero announced last January, it was noticed that tho Washington Nursery was not sent out, and it was the general opinion that this event had been dropped. It now turns out that it will receive its second running this year. The Nursery is the most valuable of the Washington stakes. It is worth ,000, 4,000 of -which goes to the winner, 00 to tho second, 00 to the third, 00 to the nominator of the dam of the winner, 00 to the nominator of the dam of the second horse, and 00 to the nominator of the dam of the third horse. The race is for two-year-olds at half a mile, and the following are eligible to start: Duello, Templar, Nutshell, Greeting, Warren--wood, Capron, chestnut filly by De Beauvoir Uarbary Gray, Argent, Christmas Carol, chestnut filly by Albert Ophelia, Amelia Strath-more, Tasmania, Makaland, Knight of Rhodes, bay filly by Fonso Grenadine, F. R. Hitchcocks Spalder, Colonel Hue, Red Pattie, Bold Knight, bay filly by Hindoo La Esmeralda, Primrose Day, Specific, Prestidigitator, Prince of Verona, chestnut colt by Lamplighter-Harebell, bay filly by Fonso Lillian Beatrice, Be Be S., bay colt by Okema Ochone, Caout-choucine, Oleaster, Merrily, chestnut filly by Sea Shore Lilliputian. The Washington Handicap is the next important event on the program, and the entries are: Sanders, Ben Viking, Charabelle, Death, Boney Boy, Danforth, Rusher, Thomas Cat, Ree Mitchell, Nabob, Beau Ideal, General Mart Gary, Brisk, Aerobat, Colonel Tenny, Premier, Dr.Vaughan, Prestidigitatrice, Dnke of Middle-burg, Knight of the Garter, Nosey, Charentus, Roysterer and Dr. Parker. The twenty-one named to go in the Arlington, a two-year-old race, aie: Bethel, Etymology, Mattie Bazar, Argent, Christmas Carol, Shamokin, The Bobby, Acolyte, Yasodhara, Rubelito, Charlas Eates, Monometalist, Primrose Day, Prestidigitator, Cupidity, King Thistle, Doctress, Prince Midas, F. V. T., Contestor and Specific. The entries to the Congressional Slakes are: Etymology, Contra, Billy Gunn, chestnut filly, by Albert Ophelia, Shamokin, The Bobby, Acolyte, Peeler, Charles A. Maxwell, Monometalist, Mieoricordia, Prestidigitator, Cupidity, G. E. Wightman, Sprig, F. V. T Merrily and Caoutchoncine. The steeplechases have filled well, but the nominations are not known.
