Winner B. f. by Goldfinch Kiss Me Quick. Start bad. Won driving. Gualala was lucky in the send-off and had a clear course throughout. Sombre was overhauling her at the end. The latter showed improvement and her race was a good one. Humidity did not run her race, but her jockey was not strong enough to do her justice. She requires strong riding and is a good filly. Peter Weber was nearly left at the post and made up a lot of ground. - " Scratched 10987 Lime Water. 107. Overweights Sombre, 5 pounds. Gualala, place, 1 to 2. The track was in her favor and her last race had put her on edge. Spencer laid away with her to the far turn and then joining Satsuma, gradually wore him down and won in the last stride. Satsuma ran his usual honest race and hung on stoutly to the end. What er Lou ran a great race under poor handling. Morinel closed a great gap in the last half. Napamax was cut off and unlucky generally, yet did not runup to expectations. Joe Ullman, Topmast and Sardonic ran their races. Eddie Jones gave it up after running well for seven furlongs. The others appeared never to have a chance. Overweights Napamax, 2 pounds; Sardonic, 1; La Goleta.l. Fleur de Lis, place, 8 to 5; show, 4 to 5. Satsuma, place, 2 to 1; show, evens.
