HARKB FACING, Not one decided favorite won at Harlem yesterday and the Turf Congress delegates who "visited the track and dined with Mr. John Condon and other Harlem officials probably Teturned without winning their expense money if they tried to do so. The afternoon waB briffht and pleasant but the track was very deep and as a rule the racing was devoid of exciting features. Bea Lions defeat of Sam Lazarus Esq. jolted the form players and also furnished gossip for the ecandal-mongers. Last Monday, with 103 pounds up, Bam Lazarus Esq. ran away from Sea Lion going seven furlongs; but jesterday, with only 99 uounds up, at a mile, Bea Lion made Sam Lazarus Esq. look cheap. Either Sea Lion has improved wonderfully from thet race or else Bam Lazarus Esq. has gone back or is a non-stayer. At any rate Sea Lion won easily at the comfortable price of 11 to 5 Pat Civill scored with Damocles in the third race. This horse was always a good mud runner and as ho has some pretensions to fair class and was only carrying 99 pounds 20 to 1 waa cetainly a false price apainst him. Dugan rode Damocl6S end after getting off in front led all the way, eventually winning by three-quarters of a length from Antiquary. Tom Barretts filly Brownie Anderson, heavily backed at 15 to 1, won the five and a half furlongs two-year-old race in game fashion from Lomond and Tildes. Barretts horses are always well supported by the speculators and the fillys win was popular. It took Mary KinBella two minutes and twelve seconds to run the nine f nrlongs of the second race but nothing else could run faster and she won away off by herself. Pacemaker, -with Burns in the saddle, was a 7 to 10 favorite but he never was dangerous and waa even baaten out of second placj by Pinkey Potter. At 31 to 1 Coutessa landed the first race easily. She went to the front on the far turn and had J no trouble in remaining there. MlssDooley.at 15 to 1, easily beat an ordinary lot at a mile in the fourth race. She got away in front and led all the way
