NOTK3 OF THIS TURF. Judge J. J. Burke says of the amateur riders of Toronto: "Tbe Toronto gentleman riders are far ahead of tbe average amateur ridors in this country. This is not surprising, as they aro almost constantly in the saddle. Snob gentlemen as Bert Hollaud and Murray Hendrio would pretty nearly hold their own against pro- Ifessionals Mr. W. C. anywhere." Whitneys raoing colors have been registered with the English Jockey Club as "Eton blue, brown cap," with second colors of j "Eton blue, brown belt and cap."
