Won driving and out to the last ounce; second and third were also driving in the limit. Nellie Fcneo got away well on her stride, had the moat speed and ran a fair race. The flllv was tired at the eighth post but lasted lor g enough to win. Alice B. got a lazy ride. She is not much, however, and when cilled upon in the stretch swerved badly. Ramjet C9 me from a long way back in the stretch. She showed no early speed. Vigorous ran well for abaut four and one-half fnrlongs. Alganic acted badly and eventually threw jockey McNally and the held W8S sent orl without her. Scratched Naples, 114; 614E Carrie Davis, 106. Overweights Alganic, 1 pound. Winner B. g. by Red Iron Lilly Wright Post8 minutes. Start poor. WTon clevsriy at the end after a hard early drive; second, third and fourth were under full sail, Diggs took the shortest route and ran one of his best races. He went to Ferroll like a stake horse in the stretch and at the end was going away. Ferroll showed great spaed but it was most injudiciously used. Dugan wore the filly out in going the first five furlongs and instead of skinning the rails on the Btretch turn lot her go wide. This left an opening for Burns with Diggs. Violet ParsonB stopped badly at the end. Czarowitz would have beaten her for third place in a few more strides. Tha latter ran a good race. The field was baaly strung out all the way. Kamsin bolted at the start and was practically left. Scratched 14878 Xalissa. 104; 14968 Inverary II., 104; 14902 Gypceiver, 107; 149932 BrightieS . 109; 14556 Randazzo, 107; 13990Amelia Fonso, 104. Winner Blk. f, by Basictlaw Resf da II. Post 4 minutes. Start good. Won easily; second, third and fourth driving to the limit, Basseda was the best and in a so t spot. Her race was Btrictly form and the prico on her far out of line. This is more than an ordinary filly and she ssems to ba in rare form now. She was fortunate in getting away and always had a clear path. The Monk had bad racing luck. He got sharply cut off at the start and was pocketed all down tha backstretch. When he got clear ho finishoa strongly. Nettie Regent showed a line turn of speed, but at the end was quitting badly. Rumor has it that Highland Lad has worked better than 1:14. The colt ran a fair race and the rumor may be true. Conleys ride on Tekla handicapped her. He was slow in getting away and had the filly in a bad position all the way. Winner B. c, by Vagabond Acra. Post 12 minutes. Start good. Won easily; second tho samo; -third, fourth and fifth were driving to the limit. Friar John was lucky, well ridden and ran the best race. McQuado had him in a hanoy position all ihe way and from the head of tba stretch home held the race safe. Mary Kinsella would have been much closer to Friar John at the finish than she was if Bnrns 4red not stopped, riding her. Ho almost threw second place awBy. Barataria ran a smashing , good race. He was off badly and poorly ridden, but finished like a cyclone. Kisme also finished -fast. Watch the latter. Since her fall the last tima the started she has been timid, but is getting over that now. The early pace stopped Bitter .Root and Ebart. Both quit badly. Eghart seems to be of no present account. Fair Deceiver did not rnn htr race. Neither did Plantain. Friar John was run up 00 over his entered price by W. P. Marane, bnt was retained. He got a good ride and as the race was run was the best. Mr. Johnson was intsifered with to tome extant, but not enough to cause any difference in the result. The colt ran his race, Jim McCleevy showod more speed than utoal and improved suddenly. Watsh him. Uhler waa too much UBed in making up lost ground down the backstretch and quit badly at the end. Heroics ran a fair race. 80 did Pay the Fiddler under a bad ride, llandicapper B. Miller ran Jimp up to 00, which waa 00 over his entered price. Robinson kept the gelding for 05. Tulla Fonso got a trifle the best of the start and ran a smashing good race. She was tiring badly at tho end but responded gamely to Mitchells call. Streamer ran his racs. It was a good one, too, considering that Barns rode him hard all the way. It waa a very tight fit for third place. Moroni gjt up in the very last stride.
