WASHINGTON PARK PROGRAM. Secretary Howard has issued a publication that will be exceedingly popular. It is the program book of the rapidly approaching Washington Park meeting. It ia in some features a decided improvement over its predecessors. After the entries to each of the stakes Secretary Howard has added a table giving the winners of the stake from the date of its first running. the weight carried, number of starters, net value and time. This i:- a valuable feature, and one that will please the patrons of the track. Of the purses, sixty are of 00, seventeen 00, two 00, three 00. and ten of ,000. The purses total .-ii.j4.200. Programs are yet to be provided for July 2, 6, 9 and 16. These four days •will care for purses aggregating at least 2,000 more. The added money to the stakes i6 4,000. Adding to these sums the value of forfeits, en. i trance and declaration feet and starting fees, i it . , 1 can easily be estimated that the twenty-five days of racing at Washington Park will eurich winning owners to the extent something like the magnificent total of 50,000.
