Louisville Belle closed strongly, as also did My Butterfly. Incidental showed considerable speed but quit in the 6tretch. Little Billy was outrun in the first part of the race but finished fast. Erema is a quick breaker and got whatever advantage there was in the start. Regina Lee closed strongly in the stretch and they fought it out closely to the last stride, with Erema having slightly the advantage in the going. Mrs. Grannan ran a good race and will do better. Lord Zeni did not appear to get well into his stride until in the last quarter. He and Banished then contested it out in the stretch, but Banished had a pull in the weights and managed to win in the last stride under severe whipping. Greatland showed speed, but faltered in the run home and had to be hard ridden to get third place. Dramburg got off with a running start, but it did him no good. Pink Coat seemed to be wedged in by the other two going around the first turn and appeared to be sulking. Friesland was sent down the backstretch at his best clip while Overton, on John Bright was holding his mount in reserve for the finish. Ho overtook Friesland in a terrific drive, through the stretch but was going away at the finish. Pink Coat tired at the end. Scratched— 17991 Eberhart. 110; 176552Florizar, 106. Harshberger got Crinkle in front again, and she won, urged to the limit. Estills effort on the far turn probably cost him the race. Agitator and Marguerite Hageman had an exciting brush for third place. Trebor was very slow in getting going, but finished strongly. Mound City showed but little speed.
