It was a bunch of bad actors while at the post, Peter Dnryea, Round O. and Sadie Burnam being the chief offenders. The last two were kicking right and left. Kaftan shows improvement and ran a fair race. Peter Duryea was used too much on the backstretch and tired at the end. Edna Gerry did well. Sprung can do better. Sadie Burnam ran a fair race from a bad beginning. The Gray Dawn acted and ran green. Scratched— 18562 Polly Bixby, 100; 18597 Sarilla,90. Foneda was interfered with by Tragedy in the backstretch, which had no bearing on the result. She should have beaten Sim W. by a larger margin, however, but was eased up the last twenty yards. Tragedy was outclassed at the end. Sim W. did not show the speed of his best race. Scratched— 18538 Ned, 105; 15709 Princess Fedora, 94. Overweights— Hansford, 1 pound.
