GOSSIP OF THE TURF. Dr. A. W. McAlester can very well afford to feel gratified because of the substantial recognition of the fact that he breeds good race horses, which was given at the Union stock yards Monday night. Ten yearlings of his breeding brought by far the best average he has yet realized at public sale, the average reaching the highly satisfactory figure of 00.
