THK 1VJKLSOB EET1UG A perplexing and troublesome issue is bound to cc mo up in connection with the projected meeting at Windsor Amiig tbe entries to the recently closed stakes appear tbe names of quite a lumber of horses that have been running at Nev port aid Bt Louie atd ether unlicensed tracks and are consequently barred fiom run ning i ver tbe tracks governed by theiulesof the Western Jockey Club A great many horses are also entered whose owners have been scrup ¬ ulously careful to avoid rcing over unlicensed tracks and which are well engaged in the rich stakes yet to be decided over the Chicago tracks It seems more than prob ble that there is danger of such horses lutiig their standing also if they race in association with the horses that have already incurred dieability It is not exactly a clear case bnt it is one that the gen ¬ tlemen who are to conduct the Windsor meet ¬ ing as well as the owners interested should canvass carefully at once The meeting being bold in Canada a foreign country has a bear ing on tho case but how much is yet to be clearly determined determinedAt At its last meeting tho Western Jockey Club promulgated tbe following followingA A meeting in Canada is recognized by the Western Jockey Club wbea held under the sanction of any turf authority which enforces tho forfeit list and rulings of the Western Jockey Club including tbo disqualifications of persons and horf ea for fraudulent practices practicesThat That is the only thing that bears officially on the situation and each reader can interpret it for himself It is regrettable that a doubt should ariso prejudicial to the interests of tbo Windsor meeting which is well thought of hereabouts but it is here and must bo consid ¬ ered
