Falsai -nate improved greatly over his last race but was lucky to win over Sir Hubert and The Bachelor , both of which lay completely out of the race for the first two miles which were ruo at a very slow pace. The winner stole a long and winning lead while the Jockeys on the probably beet horses were taking a.nap. Sir Hubert closed with a tremendous rush when too late. The Bach -elor is a stayer and requires a strong pace. Bacchanal was a contender nearly throughout. Th e others were outclassed over the long course. Scratched 276682Jim Megibben, 148. Ogden was outrun to the stretch but gradually caught and wore down Camerons lead and only beat him in the last stride in a fierce drive. Cameron appeared to be almost a certain winner throughout and displayed brilliant speed on a track probably unsuited to his action. Bellario is rounding to and finished very strongly after being within striking distance throughout. He ran an impressive race, probably partly due to the soft going. Unmasked was under a poll to the stretch, but quit in the final strides. Otis, with the worst of the weights, ran well to the stretch, but has probably gone back at that. Arsenal outran his field from start to finish in the most impressive fashion and must be a good class co It. He was challenged in the Btretch by Maeterman and drew away gamely. Masterman, favored by the soft going, was an easy second best. King Hanover was outpaced and outraced by the fir st two at all stages and evidently had not recovered from Saturdays hard race. He will cirtain ly reverse todays running later on. Homestead showed a fine burst of spaed and hung 011 wall at the end. He has been very highly tried and is a fair horse, but looks big and not fit. Winner B. c, by Albert Bonnie Ola. Went to post at 4 :15. At post 3 minutes. Start perfect. Won driving; second the same. Herbert was bast and ran a remarkable race under adverse conditions, except as to the state of the going, which especially favored him. He lost a length at the start before getting into hiB stride, ran wide around the entire field on the first turn and triod to bear out on the stretch turn, and yet when seemingly beaten suddenly came again with a wonderful burst of speed. Terminus suffered through the winners roguish tactics on the turn, but for which he would probably have won. Trigger finished vary strongly and ran like a stayer. Baron Pepper was handicapped in the going, but closed with a tremendous rush and would probably have won on a good track. Gold Heels wbb badly interfered with at different pointB in the race and ran a great race at the weights and will improve. Water Cure was at a great disadvantage on the soft track, which was dry and wet in spots. He is very good and was closing strongly at the end. The going was also against Imp. Toddy got off badly. Ten Candles was short, but showed grand speed early. Scratched 27583 Advance Guard, 115; 27992 Autolight, 90. Overweights Terminus, 4 pounds ; Baron Pepper, 3. Herbert, show, evens. O Hagan wants a heavy track and in real mud can possibly beat this kind. He iB in good form and showed plenty of spaed. Montana Pioneer hung on well and evidently liked the track.
