He is a consistent horse at this game and fences cleanly. Mazo finished strongly, as did also Globe II., which broke down completely a few yards beyond the finish. Captain Conover as usual fenced -without an error, but was a little slower on the flat than usual. Saintly as usual started out with a big lead, but had enough after taking the sixth jump. The Giver ran well but was tiring badly at the end, just lasting long enough to beat Rose Plume, which was leg weary herself in the closing strides. Arian was shy of speed and was never a factor.
