She went into the lead Boon after the first quarter had been run and remained there to the end. John Grigsby closed up fast on her in the last sixteenth but he hung just a shado in the closing strides. Coburu appeared to have too much confidence that she would quit and coma back to John Grigsby in the last quarter. Do Madge finished strongly. The race should do her much good. Clarke came with a rush next to the inside rail in the last eighth but too late to be of any avail. Marcos showed speed for five f urlonga but quit badly when the pinch came. Brownie Anderson ran well for seven furlongs. El Ghor ran far below expectation. Can-ova was right there until a furlong out, where he tired and quit. Lady Elite showed well considering the fact that she had not started in many weeks. Admetus was never a contender and is probably stale. False Lead might just as well have remained in his stall. Little Elkin showed much speed when coming down the last eighth, and despite Ooburna desperate efforts on Crosby got hiB nose in front when passing over the line. Crosby appeared to be an easy winner in the last sixteenth, but tired badly in the last few yards. Moroni tired rapidly in the laBt eighth after running well for six furlongs, Miss Dooley showed speed for three-quarters, but tired fast in the last eighth, Adelanta was never a contender, running far below the good form shown in his last two efforts.
