Orleans came to life with a thump that shook the stands, ran a good race and won easily. MisB Golightly was cut off at the stretch turn, but could scarcely have done better. At post 9 minutes. Start good. Won driving; second easily. Louis . Wagner showed unusual early speed, was well ridden and finished gamely. Terra Firma began slowly, was cut off at the three-eighths post and lost a lot of ground nut he came on strong in the stretch and was well handled. Concertina was badly handled. She was probably best but was bumped and interfered with at every stride. Marque was the victim of a very bad riae. Crimean, away badly, made up a lot of ground and with an even break would have been right there. Anna Elliott can do better. Picador ran a good race under a weak rider. Menace was used too much in the run to get up, Rochester quit when put to a drive. Spry tired in the going and will do better on a fast track. Bengal was well away, and getting into his Btride in a hurry never was in danger. Our Lady ran her race, but was weakly handled in the stretch. Boot had no mishaps. Waban waB used too much in the early part of the race and in the delay at the post.
