iLATONIAS SUCCESSFUL OPENING. Cincinnati, O., Octobor 25. Latonias fall opening was a. decided success from every point of view, with the possiblo exception of the bookmakers standpoint. The weather was clear and cool, an ideal racing day, the track was fast and the attundance large, over 4,000 people turning out to witness the sport. There wore no really close finishes, all the victories bsing rather clear cut. still the races were full of interest, The riding of Knight was the feature of the day, he winning four out of the six races. In the betting sheds tho twelve books present did a rushing business with the speculators and all the books quit loser on the day, four strongly . played favorites winning. In the first race Baronet tha favorite, finished in the bunch and the 15 to 1 shot Judge Bteadmau took tho oney . Favorites then had their inning, Banco, Jack Battlin, Henry Burt, and Mabel Winn taking : their raceB in easy fashion, The sixth was won L by Bermuda Prince at 10 to 1. If the attendance of today can be taken as an 1 indication of the interest hereabouts in tho racing . this meeting will be one of the best ever he Id here in point of attendance.
