Little Henderson rode a rattling good race ou the Oneck Stables filly Happy in tho high-weight selling event at Benninga a few days ago, Bays an eastern paper. He got away from the barrier in good style and did not rush the filly too much, but allowed her to run her race and did not become rattled when Martin came alongside with Cornwall. Instead, he roda tha filly out, and, although she was tiring, Bhe managed to squeeze home by a short head. It is said an oTer of 1,000 was lately made to Mr. Shields for his light-weight jockey, John Martin, but at the last moment something stopped the deal. Had it gone through the clever young Toronto boy would now bo on the racing staff of one of Gothams newest multimillionaire turfman.
