Frank Kenney was best, showed speed and a liking for muddy going and came away with ease in tba stretchy W. H. Dixon ran well and was eased up in the stretch when plainly beaten. Hand-squeeze ran to his mark. Those outside of the first three did not like the heavy track. Easter Time and Infallible showed oarly speed. Tom Collins struck going just to his liking and had things all his own way at the finish. Little Jack Horner and Sad Sam fought it out hard for second place. Little Jack Horner Bet a fast pace in the early part of the race, which caused him to tire at the end. He swung wide into the stretch, but by doing so secured good footing. Semicolon did not run to his previous form. The going-probably accounts for this. The others were outclassed. Scratched 29X712 H. 8. Judge Bteadman was allowed to swerve in the stretch when coming fast. Little Elkin was poorly handled or he might have been closer up at the finish. Syncopated Sandy showed speed, but was used too much in the first part of the race and tirid at the finish.
