Jed Waldo has taken on weight, rapidly since having England and now weighs over 100 pounds, but with a little training will be able to ride at eighty-five. Pyrrho appears to be a mud horse pure and simple. He is beginning to show his mettle at New Orleans. He is undoubtedly pounds better in the soft going, . , Tom Collins is one of the most consistent mud horses that have run in years. He always appears to put np a good performance when rain visits the track. According to a San Francisco scribe, L. Daly, now riding at Oakland, promises to develop into a good rider. He is very cool for a youngster. Anyone sending to this office the present address of W. J. Steward, who rode in jumping races at Toronto this year, will confer a favor. J. B. Eeene has decided that all of the stallions at Castletoa Stud shall ba reserved for service to the matrons of that establishment.
