NOTES OF THE TUBF. W. H. Karrick, who raced at Now Orleans last winter with Intrusive, Hanover Quean and several other fair claES performers, has telegraphed from New York asking for twelve stalls there. In his lot are Lady Radnor, Ben Viking, Aratoma, Anto Up, Friar Tabor, Intrusive and six yearlings. Little Scouts victory in the. Preliminary Derby yesterday at New Orleans, was his third: consecutive win there. Mr. Bennett has undoubtedly a good horse iu the eon of Lamplighter and the colt will probably prove quite a factor in stake races the coming year. Charles Dwyer, who is a son of Michael Dwyer, once the heaviest plunger on the turfr has joined tho eastern delegation wintering in San Francisco. Charles is not a stranger, having married a California girl two years ago. Chris Matin, who trains tho horses owned jointly by "Terry" McGovern and "Paddy" Sullivan, has his thoroughbreds quartered on Hempstead Plains, L. I., where they will ba wintered. OBrien, the jockey who was hurt soma days ago at New Orleans by being thrown from a horse, is around again all right, but will not be able to ride again in some time. Dan Honig will spend the winter in St. Louis, Mo., instead of going to 8an Francisco. Joe Pesch is one of the latest arrivals at the cdaBt from the east. .
