IMPORTANT TO OWNERS. The stewards of the Jockey Club took several important steps at the meeting at Sheepshead Bay last Saturday j The most important action of the session was embodied in the following resolution, which was adopted without a dissenting vote : " Resolved, That after August 2, 1902, all associations holding a race meeting within fifty miles of New York City, having racing between the first Saturday of May and the Fourth of July both inclusive, and from the first of August to the last Saturday in October both inclusive, shall be required to add to each overnight event an average of !,000, with a minimum of 00, and to stakes a mini mum of ,500. "Associations having other dates than the above shall be required to add to overnight events an average of 00, with a minimum of 00, and to stakes a minimum of ,000, except that those associations having racing dates between the 5th of July and the first Saturday of August both inclusive shall be required to add to overnight events an average of 00, with a minimum of 00, and to stakes a minimum of ,500. "All associations shall be required to give an average of one stake for each racing day." The application of John White for reinstatement was denied. On the recommendation of the license committee the following licenses were granted : Jockeys John Blair, Thomas Butler, H. Calla-ghan, Joe Eiernan, J. Meaney, John MacCauley, John Price, William Travis, Robert Johnson, W. Nelson, Jesse Conley and William Doyle. Trainers E. N. Alford, W. H. Burr, George Campbell, J. C. Deakin, Thomas Digney, J. T. Donovan, Hugh Hodges, William Hay ward, Jr., M. C. Kelly, John McKee, W. F. McElroy, Henry Neponneck, J. H. Stevens and M. J. Cavanagh.
