Flora Levy ran a good race under a woak ride. Model Monarch finished with a great rush. Ed Layson was cut off, pulled up, taken in the worst going and generally misused. Jordan was well off and well ridden, made a smart move at the three-eighths, fouled Oudenarde and Helen Print at tke stretch turn, bumped Wax Taper all over the stretch and just did win by a nose. Wax Taper, off badly, slow to begin, was badly ridden, came with a tremendous rush in the stretch and was best. Jordan hit him very hard and he was given a very bad ride. Oudenarde went well and was coming again when Jordan fouled him. Helen Print ran a good race. Found stopped. The others do not like mud. Scratched 333002 Vulcain, 116; 328563Peaceful, 115.
