Golden Harvest came with a well-timed rush and got up in the final stride and was going away at the finish. Rice showed the most early speed and would have won had Aker hand ridden him instead of drawing his whip. Fluke tired in the last sixteenth. Lady Silver ran her race. Brahmin showed improvement. Lorina outbroke and outran her field all the way, but was hustled along in the last furlong to stall off Frst Mason and Bank Street. First Mason ran a good game race, made up much ground and was pressing Lorina in the run home. Bank Street came very strongly in the last furlong and fought it out gamely. Our Sallie ran a fair race, but faltered in the stretch. Lowe could not do Stub justice. Perry did not make any effort with Will Shields. Scratched 33515Springbrook, 105; Stars and Bars, 103. Lady of the West was well ridden and under a hard drive all through the last quarter. La Gazelle was favored by the weight, showed speed and ran in much improved form. Bean and Kittle Court were raced into exhaustion in the first six furlongs. The field ran closely bunched for the first Eeven-eighths. Overweights Kittle Court, 3 pounds. Remp, show, out. Young Henry showed the most early speed, but was tiring at the end and might have been second with a stronger rider. Wire In tired in the final furlong. He was probably a bit short. Iridescents improvement was sudden. He was under restraint for the first half, finished strongly, and catching Julia Junkin tiring won going away. Julia Junkin showed the most early speed, but dont like over six furlongs. King Ford was used up in chasing the leader and tired when it came to a drive.
