NOTES OF THE TURF. The good colt Dick Welles, by King Eric Teas Over, by Hanover, was bred, as was his dam, by Kinzea Stone, Georgetown, Ky. Mr. Stone sold Teas Over to R. H. Anderson, and the latter has a fine looking yearling brother to Dick Welles. It is reported that David Garrick, which defeated Ethelbert in the Annual Champion Stakes two years ago, and which has since been in England, willsoon return to this country and will be retired to the stud at the Rancocas Farm. John J. McCafferty has decided to sell out his entire racing stable at the Brighton Beach racecourse on Saturday, July 12. Fasig-Tipton Companys announcement of the sale will be found in our advertising columns. Argregor continually refuses to break when he J has the inside position. This is attributed to th fact that last winter the horse was quite seriousl fl hurt by being thrown into the rail out in CaliforniaB It is stated that Flywheel is now afflicted with two bad feet. Some time ago he burst a hoof, and the pressure on another has caused it to go wrong, as is frequently the case. J. H. Keenan, the old-time steeplechase jockey, who some years ago rode both in this country and. in Great Britain, died at Sheepshead Bay Monday.
