WORTH STAKES. The Worth Jockey Club has taken a commendable step in announcing a series of stakes for its fall meeting. Heretofore purses and overnight handicaps have been the order at the new track, but better things are now in evidence, and horsemen will welcome the new departure. Eight stakes are announced to close August 12, the terms of which appear elsewhere in this issue of Dailt Racing Foem. They are as follows. FOE TWO-TEAH-OLDS. The Chicago Ridge Handicap, ,500. added; 1 mile. The Oaklawn Stakes, ,000 added; 51-2 furlongs. FOB ALL AGES. Tho Flyaway Handicap, ,000 added; 3-4 mile. FOE THEEE-YEAH-OEDS. The Phoenix Handicap, ,500 added ; 1 1-16 miles. FOE TIIEEE-YEAE-OLD8 ASD "UPWARD. Tne Columbia Handicap, ,000 added; 1 1-1 miles. Tho Liberty Handicap, 92,000 added; 1 1-8 miles. Tho Fort Dearborn Handicap, ,500 added; 2 1-4 miles. The Alpine Stakes, selling, ,000 added; 1 mile. These stakes round out the local season in good stylo and will, no doubt, secure the liberal patronage they amply deserve.
