Tom Kenny set a fast even pace throughout and when strongly challenged in the stretch by His Eminence, drew away gamely and was best at the weights. His Eminence was possibly waited with too long before making a move to catch the winner. Nones was badly interfered with on the stretch tarn, but it is doubtful if tho result was materially affected. He failed to come on at the end. Ten Candles followed the winners pace closely and was apparently unextended in the first mile, but failed to respond when called on in the last quarter. Eiver Pirate failed to stay under his big weight. Gimcrack made a promising debut. Monte Carlo does not stay well except in soft going. Gold Van was outrun all the way, but kept at his work steadily. Marylander tried to make a runaway race of it and quit almost to a walk at tho end. The Driver was pulled up in the last mile.
